Education Program Overview

students at computerMSDB provides a free, appropriate, public education to eligible students 18-months through age 21 who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired, or deafblind. Our on-campus educational program, located in Great Falls, provides accessible education for all students.

  • For students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind
    • Teachers, Paraeducators, and Support Staff provide direct instruction by using English (spoken and written) and/or American Sign Language
    • Tools such as amplification technology and communication strategies are used depending on individual student need
  • For students who are blind, visually impaired, or deafblind
    • Teachers, Paraeducators, and Support Staff provide large print materials, braille, Nemeth, tactile materials, Orientation and Mobility services, and access technology depending on individual student need
    • Instruction is provided in the Expanded Core Curriculum
  • For infants and toddlers from birth to preschool age
    • Outreach Consultants work with Part C Providers and families across the state
    • In Great Falls, toddlers can attend the Preschool Program starting at 18-months, as appropriate and based on the outcome of the Admissions process
