Sports and Extra Curricular Activities

Sports and Clubs offer students opportunities to learn the value of teamwork and individual and group responsibility. Students can improve their physical strength and endurance by participating in competition. Students develop self-confidence, improved performing and public speaking skills, and develop a sense of culture and community.

Sports

Middle School Students may participate in sporting events at East Middle School. Sporting events may include:

  • Girls and Boys Basketball
  • Football
  • Cross Country
  • Volleyball
  • Wrestling
  • Girls Swimming
  • Girls and Boys Track

High School Students may participate in sporting events at Great Falls High School or at Great Falls Central Catholic depending on the sport. Sporting events may include:

  • Boys Football – GFCC
  • Boys Wrestling – GFHS
  • Girls and Boys Basketball – GFCC
  • Girls and Boys Golf – GFHS
  • Girls and Boys Swimming – GFHS
  • Girls and Boys Tennis – GFHS
  • Girls and Boys Track – GFCC
  • Girls Softball – GFHS
  • Girls Volleyball – GFHS

After-School Clubs and Activities

people eating at restaurantThere are many after-school clubs and activities in which students may participate, including:

  • Cane Club – a service organization of students who are blind or visually impaired
  • Eagle Mount – a Great Falls non-profit providing therapeutic and recreational activities
  • Expressions of Silence (EOS) – a signing and dancing performing group
  • Flying Hooves Club – a performing group using ASL and De’VIA art
  • Gallaudet University Academic Bowl – an academic competition with other schools for the deaf
  • Jogging Jokers – a club focused on exercise
  • NAD – a Chapter for deaf and hard of hearing students 7-12 grade learning about leadership
  • Special Olympics – individual sports for students with intellectual disabilities
  • Student Council – residential students providing input to the Student Life Program
  • Visually Impaired Performers – a singing group of students who are blind or visually impaired

Day students are welcomed to attend the Cottage program with permission from the Student Life Director until the after-school club or activities begin.
